The winners of the 2026 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards, which select the best alcoholic beverages in the country, were announced on the 24th at the Westin Josun Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul.
The Korea Wine & Spirits Awards is Korea's representative alcoholic beverage competition, now in its 13th year. With the goal of "discovering and widely promoting good domestic drinks and supporting the formation of a sound drinking culture," ChosunBiz has hosted it annually since 2014.
This year's event saw 260 companies submit a total of 1,118 brands, setting an all-time record. Of these, 449 brands, or 40%, received the grand prize. Among the grand prize winners, 24 brands that earned the highest scores in each category were selected as "Best of 2026."
ChosunBiz held tastings by category in February to determine the winners. About 100 industry experts, officials, and sommeliers took part in the tastings.
After the awards ceremony concludes, a "private tasting" will be held. About 200 people, including staff from luxury hotels and restaurants and buyers from major distributors, are expected to attend.
