Nike unveiled the 2026 Korea men's national soccer team uniform through a new approach it called experiential content. The strategy is to broaden its reach with Generation Z and other young fans through an immersive escape-room-style experience.
From the 20th for four days, Nike is operating an immersive experience space called "Revenge of the Claws" on Gangnam-daero in Gangnam District, Seoul. Visitors can take part in an escape-room game that embeds the design and message of the uniform the national team will wear at the 2026 North and Central American World Cup.
An escape room is an experiential mystery game in which players move through several locked-room-concept spaces, solving puzzles in sequence. Each game assumes a specific situation and features a variety of themes, including horror, fantasy, and action. Recently, there has been a rise in cases where corporations or public institutions use them for promotional purposes.
The design concept of this uniform is "tiger ambush." The home kit takes the white tiger as its motif, visually expressing the team's unity and attacking power. The away kit is built on the narrative of an ambush to convey dynamic energy and momentum.
The experience space also reflects the same concept to create a tense atmosphere. On the exterior of a massive wooden building, Nike's swoosh logo appears as if clawed in, wrapped with chain decorations. Claw marks from a tiger were left throughout the interior.
A Nike Korea official said, "By integrating the new escape-room format, we aim to bring in more young soccer fans," and added, "Generations after the 2002 World Cup are relatively less interested in soccer or the World Cup. We considered ways to deliver soccer's energy and inspiration to them."
The new uniform will be officially released on the 23rd. The national team plans to wear it for the first time in a friendly against Ivory Coast in England on the 28th.
