Lotte Shopping said on the 20th that it held its 56th regular shareholders meeting at the Lotte Retail Academy auditorium in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and approved all six agenda items as originally proposed, including the appointment of new directors and amendments to the articles of incorporation. Accordingly, Jeong Hyeon-seok, head of Lotte Department Store; Cha Woo-cheol, head of Lotte Mart and Super; and Lim Jae-cheol, head of the finance division, were appointed as new inside directors.
Jeong is a field-focused executive who served as head of the outlet business division and store manager of key locations. In particular, Jeong was recognized for management performance in crisis response and earnings recovery during a tenure as Uniqlo CEO.
Cha, during a tenure as Lotte GRs CEO, led a profitability-focused business reorganization and overseas expansion, and also worked in the group's improvement office. Lim, the head of the finance division, is regarded as a finance expert who has led financial soundness management and improvements to the profit and loss structure.
Lotte Shopping strengthened expertise by bringing in external experts in IT and business strategy to its outside board. Outside director Woo Mi-young is an AI expert from global IT companies such as Microsoft and Dell and is expected to contribute to strengthening Lotte Shopping's digital response capabilities. Outside director Park Se-hoon is a marketing expert who served as Hanwha Galleria CEO and head of marketing at Hyundai Card, and is expected to support sustainable growth and enhanced shareholder value based on diverse field experience.
