Bhc, the chicken brand of Dining Brands Group Co., said on the 18th it opened its fifth store in Singapore.
The fifth store is bhc's third new overseas location this year and is inside a mixed-use residential and commercial building in the heart of Singapore, "Bugis." It is an area with dense offices and commercial districts, and lodging such as hotels and residences for shopping and tourism is also concentrated there, drawing heavy foot traffic.
The new store is about 20 pyeong in size and offers full-dining service so families, friends and couples can comfortably enjoy meals and conversations. It serves bhc's signature chicken such as Bburinkle, Macho King and Gold King, along with Spicy Rose Tteokbokki and Hearty Fish Cake Soup tailored to local diners who prefer a spicy, savory taste, as well as popular Korean dishes like Kimchi-jjigae (Kimchi stew) and samgyetang. Through this, the company plans to let customers sample the diverse appeal of K-food all at once.
In particular, with the opening of the fifth store, it is rolling out "Kwasak King" for the first time among its Singapore locations. Kwasak King features an ultra-crispy texture with a crispy crumble made of potato, corn and rice, and it comes with a sweet-and-spicy "Sweet Habanero Sauce" to complete a fantastic pairing.
Starting with the fifth store in Singapore, bhc will continue to introduce its signature items and locally tailored menus this year and accelerate its push into overseas markets, including Southeast Asian countries.
Nam Hwayeon, head of overseas business at Dining Brands Group Co., said, "The opening of the fifth store in Singapore was made possible by the strong interest of local customers who visited our existing locations," adding, "As a brand representing K-chicken, we will continue to offer differentiated flavors and services and steadily strengthen our touchpoints with overseas customers."
