Coupang Inc., parent company of Coupang, is joining hands with Nvidia to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI)-based logistics innovation.

Coupang said on the 17th that at Nvidia's annual technology conference "GTC 2026" held in the United States that day, it built an "AI factory" to innovate e-commerce logistics and delivery end to end through collaboration between the two companies.

The collaboration was implemented by combining the Coupang Intelligent Cloud (CIC) system, launched in Jul. last year, with Nvidia's high-performance AI infrastructure, the DGX SuperPOD. Through this, Coupang created an environment where engineers and data experts across its global organization can develop and test a variety of AI models.

Using the AI factory, Coupang is applying AI across key operations such as inventory management at logistics centers and designing delivery routes. As a result, item loading efficiency at logistics centers (bin packing) has improved, and graphics processing unit (GPU) utilization has risen from the previous 65% to 95%.

A Coupang official said, "To maintain the speed, selection, and price competitiveness promised by Rocket Delivery, continuous technological innovation is necessary," and added, "Through collaboration with Nvidia, we will advance our existing AI and Machine Learning-based operations and continue new innovation."
