Amorepacific said on the 13th that it released the Amore Mall app in OpenAI's ChatGPT (hereafter ChatGPT), the first in Korea's beauty industry.
The app in ChatGPT (ChatGPT app) is a service that OpenAI officially opened in Oct. 2025. More than 900 million ChatGPT users worldwide can use various external services through apps during conversations.
The Amore Mall ChatGPT app is designed to let users explore and compare a wide range of Amorepacific brand products within the flow of conversation with ChatGPT. Users can enter their skin type, concerns, intended use, and more to get product recommendations, and they can easily compare ingredients, benefits, and prices between products in a conversational format. The recommendation algorithm reflects beauty data and expertise that Amorepacific has accumulated over many years to provide answers at the level of personalized consultations.
This ChatGPT app launch is part of Amorepacific's "AI First" strategy. Following the introduction of its AI chatbot service Amore Chat on its own mall last year, the company expanded the service this year to a global AI platform, further strengthening its AI-based commerce strategy. Amorepacific plans to advance the ChatGPT app's features and gradually expand to payment and shipping integration to proactively respond to the era of AI agentic commerce.
Meanwhile, Amorepacific is continuously introducing beauty-tech services using Generative AI technology. At CES 2025, it won an Innovation Award for its personalized makeup virtual try-on solution Wanna-Beauty AI. At CES 2026, it unveiled an "AI skin analysis and care solution" developed by deep learning of evaluations by skin clinical experts based on skin-capture images.
