KT Alpha said on the 11th that its board of directors met and recommended Park Jeong-min, former head of SK Stoa, as a candidate for inside director. Park is slated to be formally appointed CEO after approval at the regular shareholders meeting and board meeting on Mar. 27.
Park is a professional manager who has worked across commerce, platforms, and mobile for about 30 years at major affiliates of SK Group, including SK Stoa, SK Telecom, SK Planet, and SK M&Service. He is regarded as a figure who has built experience across diverse business areas and led innovative results.
Park said, "KT Alpha is already a company with solid underlying strength as a commerce platform operator," adding, "By combining AI and data capabilities, we will present a new paradigm for commerce and do our best to identify future growth businesses and maximize corporate value."
