Convenience store 7-Eleven said on the 9th that it is collaborating with household goods maker KleanNara to roll out two ultra-low-priced sanitary pad products in stages.
On the 14th, 7-Eleven will introduce "Soonsoohan Myeon Special, medium (16-count)" for 2,900 won. Converted to a per-piece price, it is about 181 won. Starting on the 20th, it will also sell "Soonsoohan Myeon Special, medium (4-count)," a small-pack version of the product. The price is 900 won.
It also prepared a promotion to mark the launch. 7-Eleven is running a buy one, get one free (1+1) event on about 50 high-demand sanitary pad items and, additionally, a buy two, get one free (2+1) special-price promotion on about 10 items.
Starting with this product launch, 7-Eleven plans to expand its lineup of ultra-low-priced sanitary pads within the first half. A company official said, "With 7-Eleven stores located across the country, we will continue to focus on developing practical products so that the chain can serve as a nearby everyday safety platform that helps guarantee women's menstrual rights."
