Samsung C&T's fashion division said on the 3rd that it signed a contract with the French fashion corporations SMCP to secure exclusive domestic distribution rights for Sandro, Maje, Claudie, and Fursac. The strategy is to strengthen the brand portfolio to match segmented consumer tastes.
SMCP is corporations that grew on brands offering trendy designs and accessible prices relative to high quality. It is currently present in 49 countries worldwide and is leading the global contemporary fashion market.
Samsung C&T's fashion division will handle domestic offline distribution operations for the four brands as well as the online business. It will roll out a total of 121 offline distribution points, including 95 department store locations and 26 outlets, and operate a dedicated brand zone within SSF Shop.
Sandro, Maje, Claudie, and Fursac plan to strengthen each brand's core items for the spring-summer (SS) 2026 season. Sandro will highlight, for women, outerwear-style cardigans with emphasized details, leather jackets, and denimwear, and, for men, pants offered in a range of colors and fits. Maje will focus on feminine tweed jackets and knit cardigans, Claudie will center on preppy knitwear, and Fursac will present suits featuring flexible tailoring.
The company also plans to imprint differentiated identities for each brand by providing consumers with a variety of high-sensitivity marketing content, and to improve store spatial production and product display methods to be more attractive and engaging.
Park Young-mi, head of the contemporary business unit at Samsung C&T's fashion division, said, "Sandro, Maje, Claudie, and Fursac are brands that convey contemporary Parisian sensibilities based on distinct identities," adding, "Through a systematic strategy spanning product, distribution, and marketing, we will further cement our position in the domestic contemporary market."
