Bakery franchise Paris Baguette said on the 26th that it will cut prices on 11 items, including bread and cakes, starting on Mar. 13.
According to Paris Baguette, six bread items are among the products subject to price cuts, which will be lowered by 100 to 1,000 won. Based on the recommended price for finished goods, prices will be reduced for ▲ red bean bread (1,600 won→1,500 won) ▲ soboru bread (1,600 won→1,500 won) ▲ cream puff bread (1,600 won→1,500 won) ▲ whole grain oat loaf (4,200 won→3,990 won) ▲ three-piece castella (3,500 won→2,990 won) ▲ French boussé (2,500 won→1,500 won).
Prices for five popular character cakes will also be reduced, by up to 10,000 won. The items are ▲ Huntrix Golden Cake (39,000 won→29,000 won) ▲ Soda Pop Cake (33,000 won→25,000 won).
Paris Baguette also plans to launch a value-for-money croissant in March. The price is 1,000 won. A Paris Baguette official said, "Although there are difficulties due to continued expense increases, we decided to lower prices to lessen the burden on consumers and join efforts to stabilize prices."
