As burger franchise chains have been raising prices citing higher ingredient and labor costs, Shinsegae Food said on the 26th that No Brand Burger will launch a new menu item priced at 2,500 won, the lowest in the industry.
According to Statistics Korea, last year's consumer price inflation was 2.1%, while food and dining-out prices rose 3.2%, outpacing the overall average. This year as well, higher ingredient and labor costs are increasing consumers' dining-out expenses. In response, No Brand Burger said it launched the lowest-priced burger in the industry to strengthen its role as a value-for-money brand that offers a reasonably priced meal.
The price of the "Amazing bulgogi" launched by No Brand Burger is 2,500 won. It focuses on the original taste of bulgogi.
It explained that No Brand Burger's low prices were achieved not through simple promotions but by improving the cost structure across the entire process. The company expanded joint purchasing of materials and supplies, reorganized costs at the menu design stage, and pursued process efficiency through research and development (R&D). While maintaining taste and quality, it reduced unnecessary expense and optimized logistics and operating processes to enhance price competitiveness.
Alongside the launch of Amazing bulgogi, No Brand Burger will run a special-price promotion, the "Why pay more Festival." From the 1st to the 5th of next month, for five days, customers who purchase value-for-money menu sets at No Brand Burger stores or via the app—▲ Amazing bulgogi ▲ Amazing double ▲ Original ▲ Original shrimp ▲ Garlic & garlic—will receive one additional single item.
A Shinsegae Food official said, "To ease customers' dining-out burden, we launched the industry's lowest-priced menu that can be enjoyed at a reasonable price," and added, "We plan to continue introducing menus that combine value for money with distinctive flavors and develop the brand into Korea's leading burger franchise."
