Nongshim said on the 24th that it will release the fourth new product under the Baehongdong brand, "Baehongdong Makguksu," on Feb. 2.
Baehongdong Makguksu uses dried noodles made with domestic buckwheat. The sauce is Baehongdong bibimjang made by blending and aging pear, red chili pepper, and dongchimi, with perilla oil and mustard added, and as separate toppings it includes seaweed and domestic whole-buckwheat Flake Co.
A Nongshim official said, "Baehongdong has grown into a powerful brand competing at the forefront as it recorded a steep sales increase upon launch by differentiating the quality of bibimjang, the core of bibim noodles," and added, "We plan to add new value to the bibim noodle market this year with new products that reflect consumer trends."
Nongshim's bibim noodle brand "Baehongdong" entered the bibim noodle market in second place in the first year of the 2021 launch of "Baehongdong Bibim Noodles," a product that uses bibimjang made with pear, red chili pepper, and dongchimi and sensuous marketing. After that, it released the Baehongdong series, including "Baehongdong Jjoljolmyun" in 2023 and "Baehongdong Kalbibim Noodles" last year.
