Aekyung Industrial Co. is moving to target the U.S. market with body care products.
Aekyung Industrial Co. said on the 24th that on the 22nd (local time), its personal scent body care brand "Lovescent" and total body care brand "Shower Mate" entered Walmart in the United States.
The two products launched simultaneously in more than 600 Walmart brick-and-mortar stores across 48 U.S. states and online. The company plans to gradually expand the number of stores to broaden touchpoints with U.S. consumers.
In particular, the products listed this time were planned to reflect local consumers' preference for fragrance and moisturization. Lovescent includes three scrub body washes, and Shower Mate includes one body wash containing goat milk ingredients.
An Aekyung Industrial Co. official said, "Starting with this Walmart entry, we plan to continue various sales and marketing activities to expand U.S. distribution channels," adding, "We will continue to pursue category expansion of K-beauty, including not only body care but also hair care, and a strategy to diversify global markets."
