Uniform-price household goods retailer Asung Daiso said on the 24th that it will roll out "10 pads for 1,000 won" in collaboration with KleanNara. The product is made 100% in Korea and is scheduled to go on sale starting in May.
When pads priced at 100 won each are released, they will be up to 60% cheaper than current offerings. As of now, Asung Daiso sells KleanNara pads at 2,000 won for 10 medium (200 won each), 1,000 won for 4 (250 won each), 2,000 won for 10 large (200 won each), and 1,000 won for 4 (250 won each).
Typically, pads get cheaper per unit with bulk purchases, but Asung Daiso set the price at 1,000 won for a 10-piece small pack. This is to ensure anyone can buy without hesitation even if they cannot afford bulk purchases or need them urgently.
An Asung Daiso official said, "As the era of high inflation continues, we recognize heavily the customer burden from rising prices of daily necessities," and added, "Asung Daiso Co. will continue to uphold the 'uniform-price policy' and, as the 'people's store Daiso' embodying the '1,000-won spirit,' strive to provide real help for price stability and household finances."
