McDonald's said on the 20th it is bringing back two limited "Quarter Pounder Cheese BBQ Bacon" items to strengthen its beef burger lineup.
The "Quarter Pounder Cheese BBQ Bacon" adds a special smoky BBQ sauce and bacon to McDonald's flagship beef burger, the "Quarter Pounder Cheese." When first launched in 2024, the item sold 1 million in three weeks.
Bolstered by that response, McDonald's said it expanded customer choice by newly adding the upgraded "Double Quarter Pounder Cheese BBQ Bacon" to the lineup.
In addition, it also reintroduced "sweet potato fries," which debuted last spring as a "Happy Snack" and gained popularity. This year, to reflect customer preferences, hotcake syrup can be purchased as an add-on option. The item is again included as a Happy Snack this year.
A McDonald's official said, "We introduced this lineup to offer more choices and an upgraded taste to customers who love the Quarter Pounder Cheese."
Meanwhile, McDonald's selected rapper "Beenzino" as the model for the launch of the two Quarter Pounder Cheese BBQ Bacon items.
