Nongshim said on the 13th it will launch a new RMR (Restaurant Meal Replacement) product, "Coco Ichibanya curry udon," on the 23rd, allowing people to conveniently enjoy at home the taste of the global curry chain "Coco Ichibanya."
Coco Ichibanya curry udon is a product developed by Nongshim using the know-how of the global curry chain "Coco Ichibanya," which it operates in Korea. It uses the key curry ingredients actually used by Ichibanya Co. in Japan and optimizes the sauce flavor and thickness to pair well with udon noodles.
It uses fresh noodles made with Nongshim's noodle-making technology. Nongshim said the distinctive texture of the non-fried fresh noodles blends with the curry sauce.
It also improves storage and cooking convenience. Unlike typical fresh noodle products on the market that must be refrigerated, it can be stored at room temperature.
A Nongshim official said, "This new product combines Nongshim's fresh noodle technology with the strengths of the global curry hotspot Coco Ichibanya."
Nongshim's "Coco Ichibanya curry udon" will be available at major hypermarkets nationwide and on key e-commerce channels starting Feb. 23.
