Lotteria, a hamburger franchise operated by Lotte GRS, said on the 12th that on the 11th, for the Lunar New Year holiday, it delivered holiday kits to children in vulnerable groups, including single-parent families, in the greater Seoul area.
This sharing effort was prepared as part of the customer-participation donation campaign "mom 편한 마음 한 스푼," which Lotteria ran with the Salvation Army from Dec. 15 last year to on the 31st of last month. It is a matching grant method in which the company donates the same amount as the amount donated by consumers.
The fund of about 10 million won that was raised was used, through the Salvation Army, for Lunar New Year holiday sharing kits delivered to 200 children from single-parent families and marginalized groups in the greater Seoul area. Lotte GRS said the kits, prepared in cooperation with Lotte Mart, included instant rice and side dishes and were composed mainly of ingredients to provide practical help for household meals during the holiday period.
The prepared holiday kits were delivered to Gangbuk District Office on the 11th and distributed to 200 households located in Gangbuk District.
A Lotte GRS official said, "It is all the more meaningful that we could put warm sharing into practice through a donation activity with customers for the Lunar New Year holiday," adding, "We will continue to expand social contribution activities that can provide practical help to disadvantaged neighbors."
