Woowa Brothers, operator of Baemin, said on the 12th it will exclusively launch "four essential supplements for 5,000 won" in collaboration with Dong-A Pharmaceutical Co. on Baemin B Mart. With this, supplements can now be ordered for delivery.
The supplements released in partnership with Dong-A Pharmaceutical Co. are four types—multivitamin, lutein-zeaxanthin, rTG omega-3, and probiotics—centered on essential nutrients needed by modern people, and all products are priced at a flat 5,000 won. Each product is a one-month supply.
The companies said the collaboration was planned to reflect growing wellness consumption on B Mart. On Jan. 1, transaction value in B Mart's health and diet management category increased 25% from the previous month. It appears that grocery shopping demand, once focused on ingredients, has expanded into the health management area.
A Baemin B Mart official said, "We partnered with a pharmaceutical company to provide reliable products while lowering price burdens in a high inflation era," and added, "We will continue to offer a variety of daily essentials at reasonable prices."
