Lotte GRS said on the 11th that it opened the first Lotteria store at Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore.
According to Lotte GRS, it held an opening ceremony for the first Lotteria store the previous day ahead of the official opening. Attendees included CEO Lee Won-taek of Lotte GRS, Chairman Alan Goh of partner Katrina Group, key executives from both companies, and Counsellor Kim Jun-gyeom from the Embassy of Korea in Singapore.
Jewel Changi Airport is a facility connected to Changi International Airport, regarded as a transportation hub for airports worldwide. The store is designed as an open space so visitors can enjoy it with the Rain Vortex—the world's tallest indoor waterfall and the symbol of Jewel Changi Airport—as a backdrop.
The menu will feature signature items under the K-burger brand, including Ria Bulgogi and Ria Shrimp. It will also sell items available in Korea, such as the Kimchi Bulgogi Burger, which reinterprets burgers in Korean style, and the Mozzarella Burger, a top-selling item last year.
Lotte GRS plans to expand its global business through the opening of the first Lotteria store in Singapore and seek ways to grow as a K-franchise company. CEO Lee said, "The first store in Singapore will be a symbol of the two groups—Lotte GRS and Katrina—evolving beyond Korea and Singapore into the global dining industry."
