Shinsegae Group's fashion platform W Concept will hold a discount promotion targeting the rising demand for gifts ahead of the holiday.
W Concept said on the 9th that an analysis of two weeks of sales data from on the 21st to on the 3rd showed gift sales doubled from the previous week.
By category, sales rose in the following order: beauty 75%, lifestyle 65%, women's apparel 40%, and bags 15%. In particular, sales of beauty devices and digital devices increased 280% and 135%, respectively.
Reflecting the growing gift demand ahead of the holiday, W Concept is holding a "Gift" event that gathers recommended items such as tableware, digital devices, makeup, and hair/beauty devices. It also created recommended sections by price at the 30,000 won, 50,000 won, and 100,000 won ranges to improve shopping convenience.
From Feb. 12 to 18, it will hold a Lunar New Year holiday sale and offer discounts on key products. Brands such as Frontrow, Til I Dye, On&On, and Adidas will participate. It also plans time deals limited to the holiday period, random coupons with discounts up to 50%, and product-specific events for beauty, bags, and more.
Lee Ji-hyun, W Concept's on-site marketing team leader, said, "As the holiday approaches, more customers are looking for the gift service with no delivery worries and the 'ships today' items with fast delivery," adding, "We hope you share warm feelings with gifts carefully selected by W Concept."
