Shinsegae International said in a filing on the 9th that its preliminary results for the fourth quarter of 2025 were sales of 344.3 billion won and an operating loss of 2.8 billion won. Sales rose 5.6% from a year earlier, and the loss narrowed by 8.1%. Net profit for the period turned to a profit at 1.5 billion won.
Including the Jaju institutional sector, underlying sales rose 4.6% to 399.9 billion won, and the company swung to a profit with operating profit of 1.3 billion won and net profit of about 1.6 billion won. The Jaju business was transferred to Shinsegae Casa effective Jan. 1 this year.
Cumulative results for last year were sales of 1.11 trillion won and an operating loss of 11.5 billion won. Sales increased 3.4% from a year earlier, but the company swung to a loss. Including the Jaju institutional sector, sales were 1.3231 trillion won and operating profit was 1.6 billion won.
A Shinsegae International official said, "Despite difficult market conditions last year, we continued to invest for growth, including developing global markets, rebranding, and securing distribution rights for new brands," and added, "Based on the growth roadmap established this year, we will achieve short-term performance improvement and mid- to long-term growth to raise corporate value."
