Kolon Industries FnC division (Kolon FnC) outdoor brand Kolon Sports will hold its first trail running race.
Kolon Sports said on the 4th it will host "Kolon Trail Run 2026" in Hoengseong, Gangwon Province, from Apr. 18 to 19. It is the first trail running race organized by Kolon Sports and will run as a one-night, two-day program that includes meals, music, and recovery programs after the race.
Trail running requires the ability to respond simultaneously to natural terrain, weather, and surface changes, and it is a field where the technology and know-how accumulated by outdoor brands are directly revealed. Kolon Sports has steadily reinforced its identity as an outdoor brand by launching trail running-specific products and officially sponsoring races.
There are three race categories: 35K single, 35K duo, and 15K. The 35K single is an individual race over a course of about 35 km with an 8-hour time limit. The 35K duo requires a two-person team to finish the same course together. The 15K covers about 15 km with a 4-hour time limit. There is also a bonus vertical event, run as an individual race to finish a course of about 1.5 km within 1 hour.
Participation is about 1,500 people: 400 for the 35K single, 400 for the 35K duo (200 teams), and 700 for the 15K. Registration will open on Friday the 6th at 2 p.m. on the official Kolon Sports website on a first-come, first-served basis.
The entry fee is 150,000 won for the 35K single, 280,000 won for the 35K duo, and 80,000 won for the 15K. All participants will receive a bib number, T-shirt, and participation gift. Finishers will receive category-specific finisher gifts and a medal; 35K finishers will also receive a jacket, and 15K finishers will also receive a cap.
