Samyang Round Square said on the 2nd that it held a "Housewarming Day" employee communication event on the 30th to mark the transfer to its new headquarters in Myeong-dong. On the day, Vice Chairman Kim Jung-soo of Samyang Round Square communicated directly with employees and shared the future vision.
The event was organized to commemorate the return to Myeong-dong, where the group began, and to express gratitude to employees who have worked from their positions to expand the company's business.
Vice Chairman Kim Jung-soo attended the event in person and engaged in on-site communication with employees. To greet employees coming to the new headquarters, Kim waited in the lobby from early morning and handed out sirutteok and coffee to mark the start in the new workplace. Kim offered congratulations on the transfer of the headquarters and expressed appreciation for the hard work to each employee one by one.
After the welcome event, a town hall meeting was held for about an hour for more than 110 executives and those at the Head of Team level or higher. At the meeting, Kim defined the transfer to the new Myeong-dong headquarters as a strategic turning point for establishing Samyang Round Square's future vision and shared the group's new direction and specific execution standards.
Through the town hall meeting, Kim said, "The new Myeong-dong headquarters is not just a relocation of the workplace, but a stage to communicate directly with the world and a starting point to establish the group's new direction," adding, "We will adopt our core value, 'Food for Thought,' as the group's top management vision and establish Samyang's unique new mindset and standards that will not waver amid a rapidly changing environment."
Kim then presented three standards for realizing the vision: ▲ leadership that elevates the organization's values and standards ▲ processes that meet global standards ▲ a data-based objective decision-making system.
After the vision announcement, a Q&A session followed in which Kim answered employees' questions directly.
A Samyang Round Square official said, "At this meaningful moment of the transfer to the new Myeong-dong headquarters, we planned this event to share our gratitude with employees and strengthen unity for a new leap forward," adding, "We plan to continue to build a flexible and healthy organizational culture through ongoing communication between management and employees and to solidify our standing as a global food corporations."
