E-MART said on the 30th that sales of its liquor gift sets sold during the Lunar New Year pre-order period rose 20% from a year earlier.
E-MART sold liquor gift sets by pre-order for 35 days from Dec. 26 last year to the 29th of last month. E-MART's liquor gift set sales have been on the rise for three consecutive years in 2024 and 2025.
The company said expanding exclusive liquor products and promotions led to positive customer response. A representative product is the "1865 Kakao golf bag special set, two types," sold exclusively on the E-MART application (app) Winegrab.
Among whiskey gift sets, products in the "Year of the Horse edition," released to mark the new year of byeongo year, were popular. This year, E-MART doubled the supply of Year of the Horse edition whiskey gift sets compared with last year.
Among them, the popular "Johnnie Walker Blue Year of the Horse edition" secured about half of the total domestic supply through integrated purchasing by E-MART and Traders. At Traders stores nationwide, engraving services are also offered when purchasing Johnnie Walker Blue and Johnnie Walker Blue Year of the Horse edition gift sets.
