Samyang Round Square and Samyang Foods said on the 28th that they donated 18,000 servings of food, including ramen and snacks, to the community near their new headquarters in Myeong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul.
Samyang Round Square and Samyang Foods transferred their headquarters to Myeong-dong on the 26th. Afterward, they built a public-private cooperation system with nearby police and fire stations and donated their products to share with the local community.
The donation was carried out in cooperation with the Jungbu Police Station and the Namdaemun Police Station. The donated products will be used through welfare institutions for home-based seniors in Jung-gu, the Jungnim-dong Community Service Center, the Myeong-dong Community Service Center, and the Namdaemun jjokbangchon counseling center to provide education to prevent voice phishing victimization among vulnerable groups in the area and to prevent meal skipping.
In addition, Samyang Round Square and Samyang Foods made donations to the Jungbu Fire Station, the Seoul Fire Academy, and the Jungnang Fire Station upon recommendation from the Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Headquarters located in Jung-gu and the nonprofit 119 Love Sharing Council.
A Samyang Foods official said, "We find it meaningful to be able to share warm hearts with our neighbors in the community at the start of the byeongo year and on the occasion of our headquarters transfer," adding, "We will continue to carry out social contribution activities to achieve mutual growth as a member of the local community."
