E-Land World said on the 21st it will sell the shoe select shop "Folder (FOLDER)" to ABC-Mart. The transaction will proceed as an asset transfer, and the sale price will not be disclosed under a confidentiality clause.
Folder is a shoe select shop launched by E-Land Group in 2012. It currently operates 35 offline stores and records annual sales of 100 billion won.
E-Land World said the sale is a strategic choice for Folder to leap to a new stage of growth. Through a specialized company with proven capabilities in shoe distribution and operations, Folder can grow into a more competitive brand, while E-Land World pursues a portfolio reshuffle to sharpen its business structure around its own brands.
Funds secured through the sale will be reinvested in strengthening the competitiveness of E-Land Group's own brands, where it has strengths, and in discovering and nurturing new brands. Through this, the company plans to raise brand completeness and accelerate qualitative growth of the mid- to long-term brand portfolio.
An E-Land World official said, "This decision is a strategic choice tailored to each brand's stage of growth," adding, "In the SPA and sports categories, the two pillars of the fashion business, we will further solidify competitiveness centered on our own brands, and, based on swift decision-making and execution, continue brand-led growth."
