Nongshim said on the 15th that it will launch a new snack inspired by the popular side menu item "sweet potato fries," called "Basakchuri Gotwi."
Set to launch on the 22nd, Nongshim Basakchuri Gotwi is a product designed so consumers can enjoy sweet potato fries, sold at craft burger shops and the like, in snack form. The name "Gotwi" is an abbreviation of "a snack shaped like sweet potato fries."
The new product features, as its name suggests, the flavor of sweet potato enjoyed with a "crispy" "pastry-like" texture. Nongshim said it applied an extrusion-cutting process for the texture and captured the natural sweetness of sweet potato.
A Nongshim official said, "Basakchuri Gotwi is a product that delivers a refined sweet potato flavor and a crispy texture," adding, "We will offer a distinctive culinary experience to consumers seeking trendy desserts."
