SSG.com said on the 15th it will extend the large-scale grocery shopping festival "SSG Grocery Festa," organized to mark the launch of the new membership "SSG Seven Club," for one more week until the 21st.
SSG.com decided to extend the event after considering customer response. From the 8th, when the event began, to the 13th, the average daily number of new visitors more than doubled from a year earlier, and the number of first-order members rose 65%. Buoyed by this, total orders for "SSG Delivery," which delivers E-MART products at the desired time, also grew 15% from the same period a month earlier.
During the event, SSG.com is running a daily "roulette event." It randomly offers a shopping cart coupon or grocery support funds of up to 7,000 won each day.
It also prepared exclusive special-price deals for membership members. It carefully selected 77 items focused on essential grocery categories such as fresh and processed foods and daily necessities. It will also provide product discount coupons of up to 15% applicable to those categories.
It will also launch a special-price relay "today's Pick," selling one popular item each day at near-lowest prices. It prepared foods such as tofu and instant rice, and daily necessities such as toilet paper and laundry detergent.
It will separately showcase the "Top 100 SSG Grocery Festa Items," which anyone can buy regardless of membership status. Offerings include fresh food from E-MART, SSG.com-exclusive chef-collaboration ready-to-eat meals, beverages, and dairy products.
SSG.com is also running a new sign-up promotion for "SSG Seven Club" through the end of this month. It offers two months free on the monthly subscription fee and a one-month TVING pass.
An SSG.com official said, "We decided to extend the event as it received a better-than-expected response, after designing it to provide practical help in easing shopping cart burdens," adding, "We will make the 'SSG Grocery Festa' a regular event to expand customer benefits."
