Daesang Cheongjeongwon said on the 13th it will introduce a new product, "Chicken & Basil," for Grainbow, a low-sugar convenience meal based on mixed grains.
Grainbow is a low-sugar grain meal that Daesang Cheongjeongwon first introduced in 2023 to match the trend of health-focused eating. Cheongjeongwon said it launched the new "Chicken & Basil" targeting consumers planning healthier meal management in the new year.
Grainbow "Chicken & Basil" uses a total of 14 main ingredients, including grains, vegetables, and protein. It combines six mixed grains—brown rice, barley, lentils, farro, oats, and quinoa—with protein-rich chicken breast, and highlights the flavor with basil pesto. It also includes a variety of ingredients that are hard to get in everyday meals, such as avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms.
Daesang Cheongjeongwon said Grainbow's unique low-sugar design keeps sugar content to just 1 gram per 100 grams and lowers sodium by more than 25% compared with similar products of the same type. It can be finished by heating in a microwave for only 4 minutes without thawing, and its compact pouch package makes storage easy.
Meanwhile, Grainbow has surpassed a cumulative sales volume of 1.7 million units since launch. Daesang Cheongjeongwon said it will hold a New Year Grainbow promotion on its official online mall, "Jungone Shop," through Feb. 28, offering benefits including discounts of up to 45%.
