Ayoung FBC said on the 13th that four major spirits it imports and distributes have consecutively made the upper ranks of a report released by Drinks International.
Drinks International is a liquor magazine launched in Britain in 1967. Each year, it surveys major bars and industry experts worldwide and releases brand rankings in various categories, including best selling, top trending, bartenders' choice, and all time. The Drinks International rankings are regarded as one of the credible global indicators that gauge the influence of brands actually chosen in the field, beyond simple sales performance.
Among the spirits that ranked high in this survey and are imported and distributed by Ayoung FBC are Ocho tequila, Planteray Rum, Cognac Ferrand, and Cocchi.
Ocho tequila ranked No. 4 best selling, No. 2 top trending, No. 4 bartenders' choice, and No. 4 all time in the tequila category. As a brand that established the single estate concept in tequila, its flagship product is Ocho Tequila Plata (750㎖). It features a clear color with agave, honey, herbs, minerality, white pepper, and citrus notes.
Planteray Rum ranked No. 3 best selling, No. 2 top trending, No. 2 all time, and No. 3 bartenders' choice in the rum category. Its flagship, Planteray Rum Original Dark (1000㎖), has a dark gold color and flavors of black pepper, clove, roasted cherry, white raisins, and dried pineapple.
Cognac Ferrand ranked No. 5 best selling, No. 3 top trending, and No. 5 all time in the cognac category. Created to express the terroir of Grande Champagne, Cognac Ferrand 1840 (700㎖) was made in a 19th-century traditional style with cocktail historian David Wondrich and features notes of ripe grapes, acacia, cedar, honey, and spices.
Cocchi, the vermouth house representing Turin, Italy, ranked No. 1 best selling and No. 2 top trending. Cocchi Vermouth Di Torino Storico (750㎖) is a vermouth (an aromatic wine that completes a cocktail's balance by infusing wine with herbs and spices) with a ruby-brown color and aromas of vanilla, Kakao, and raisins. Based on Giulio Cocchi's original 1891 recipe, it modernly reinterprets Piedmont's traditional botanicals.
An Ayoung FBC official said, "We will continue to introduce spirit houses and brands with tradition in various ways to help raise the level of the domestic spirits market by a notch."
