SSG.com said on the 9th it will introduce two new ready-to-eat products in collaboration with married chefs Kim Hee-eun and Yoon Dae-hyeon, who run a fine-dining restaurant.
Chef Kim recently drew attention by appearing on the popular cooking entertainment show "Culinary Class Wars," showcasing a variety of contemporary Korean dishes. Together with her husband, Chef Yoon, she runs the Michelin one-star restaurant "Soul" in Haebangchon, Seoul.
SSG.com will exclusively sell the mushroom tteok-galbi (270g), created in collaboration with the two chefs, for 7,980 won, and the gnocchi-bokki (230g) for 6,980 won. The mushroom tteok-galbi is packed with king oyster mushrooms for a chewy texture, and the pork rib meat and beef are coarsely minced to enhance the juices and meaty aroma. The gnocchi-bokki, the company said, combines chewy gnocchi made with domestic fresh potatoes and a sweet-and-spicy tteokbokki sauce to deliver a gentle sweetness in harmony.
Lee Nan-young, an MD with SSG.com's HMR Development/Operations Team, said, "We hope people enjoy differentiated ready-to-eat meals made by a Michelin-starred chef at home."
