Convenience store Emart24 said on the 8th that CJ OliveNetworks' CJ Gift Card can be used at stores nationwide starting this month.
The CJ Gift Card is a physical or barcode-type gift card that can be used at 24 affiliates, including CJ Group subsidiaries and external partners. With this partnership, Emart24 has been added as a place where the CJ Gift Card can be used, the first in the convenience store industry.
To mark the partnership, Emart24 is running a payback promotion through the end of January. After registering the gift card in the CJ ONE app, customers who spend at least 10,000 won at Emart24 will receive a one-time 2,400 won payback during the period.
Customers who spend at least 10,000 won at Emart24 with the CJ Gift Card can also enter a prize drawing. A total of five winners will receive "wine refrigerators," "iPhone 17s," and "CJ Gift Cards (100,000 won)" through a lottery, and the more times a customer pays, the higher the chances of winning.
The partnership follows a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) Emart24 signed with CJ OliveNetworks last year. Since the agreement, Emart24 has operated CJ ONE point accrual and redemption services at Emart24 stores since Mar. last year.
Customers can earn 1 point per 1,000 won spent when purchasing products at Emart24 stores, and if they hold at least 1,000 points, they can use them in units of 10 points at CJ ONE point merchants.
Lee Jong-wan, Head of Team of Emart24's sales and marketing team, said, "We are expanding partnerships so that the CJ Gift Card, which has a high usage rate among people in their 20s and 30s, can also be used at Emart24," adding, "We will continue to expand customer benefits through a variety of memberships, payments, and partnership services."
