Binggrae said on the 8th it will launch a new product, "Kkotgerang Mala Flavor," under its snack brand "Kkotgerang."
Launched in 1986, "Kkotgerang" is a snack brand that has lasted more than 30 years with a shape that recreates a blue crab, a crispy texture, and savory taste.
The newly introduced "Kkotgerang Mala Flavor" features the use of mala, which has established itself as a food category, to capture mala's distinctive aroma.
Binggrae explained that Kkotgerang Mala Flavor was developed not only for consumers who have long enjoyed Kkotgerang, but also as a primary target for consumers in their teens to 30s who prefer mala's unique aroma and spiciness. It will be rolled out sequentially across all distribution channels, including hypermarkets and general retail stores, and will also be sold at convenience stores starting in the second week of Jan.
A Binggrae official said, "Kkotgerang has long been a beloved snack across generations," adding, "With this launch of 'Kkotgerang Mala Flavor,' we plan to offer consumers new enjoyment and further expand the brand's flavor variety."
