Department stores are beginning pre-order sales of gift sets ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
Lotte Department Store will sell pre-order gifts from the 8th to the 25th. It will offer discounts of up to 70% on about 170 items, including meat, seafood, produce, and grocery.
At Lotte Department Store Mall, a "New Year's welcome gift set special" will run from the 9th to Feb. 17. It will offer a package of three coupons with up to 10% off and a food-only discount of up to 50,000 won.
Shinsegae Department Store will begin pre-order sales of Lunar New Year gift sets from the 9th to the 29th. There are about 490 items in total, including produce, meat, seafood, health and tea, wine, and dessert. Discounts will be up to 60% off regular prices.
The same pre-order offer will apply on SSG.com and Beyond Shinsegae. Depending on the purchase amount, customers will receive up to 400,000 won in SSG Money rewards.
During the same period, Hyundai Department Store will offer up to 30% off on about 200 popular gift sets at all stores nationwide, including premium Korean beef, known as hanwoo, dried yellow corvina, produce, health foods, and alcoholic beverages. The event will also be held on the official online malls "The Hyundai.com" (9th to Feb. 16) and "Hyundai H Mall" (Jan. 22 to Feb. 12).
The Hyundai.com will offer an additional discount of up to 5% when purchasing Lunar New Year gift sets with a Hyundai Department Store card. Hyundai H Mall will also provide up to 10% H Point rewards by purchase tier and a 10% off coupon (15 per ID, up to 20,000 won) usable on orders of 10,000 won or more.
Galleria Department Store will open pre-orders for Lunar New Year gift sets from the 14th to the 28th. It will offer up to 50% off on about 300 items, including premium ingredient sets featuring Galleria-exclusive premium Korean beef, known as hanwoo, and value sets.
