Shinsegae Food said on the 7th it will team up with Shilla Myungga to boost competitiveness in its bakery business.
According to Shinsegae Food, eight officials including Shinsegae Food CEO Lim Hyeong-seop and Shilla Myungga CEO Park Chang-hoon signed a business agreement the previous day at the company's headquarters in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, to cooperate on developing and producing new bakery products. Through this, the two companies plan to build a cooperative framework and maximize synergies in the bakery business.
In particular, they plan to establish OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) cooperation to build a stable product supply chain and strengthen quality competitiveness. They also agreed to jointly promote new product development through research and development cooperation and to mutually cooperate in distribution and marketing activities, actively discussing measures to lay the foundation for long-term growth.
A Shinsegae Food official said, "We proceeded with the business agreement with Shilla Myungga, which has specialized manufacturing capabilities, to advance our bakery competitiveness," adding, "We will continue to strengthen strategic partnerships that can enhance product and production capabilities."
