Fermented milk specialist corporations Pulmuone Danone said on the 7th that it won the top prize in the Greek yogurt and fermented milk institutional sector at the 2026 Korea First Brand Awards.
The Korea First Brand Awards is an award hosted by the Korea Consumer Forum. It is conducted each year for more than 3,000 brands across 16 industries. This year, about 450,000 people in four Asian countries—Korea, China, Vietnam, and Indonesia—participated to comprehensively evaluate expectations for brands, satisfaction, and purchase experience.
In particular, the Greek yogurt institutional sector was newly created this year as the popularity of Greek yogurt spread. Pulmuone Yogurt Greek was selected as the No. 1 brand in the first year of this institutional sector.
Pulmuone Yogurt Greek, cited as the No. 1 selling brand in Korea's Greek yogurt market for 10 consecutive years, is a brand based on Danone's 100-year fermentation expertise and Pulmuone's principles for wholesome food. After its launch in Nov. 2014, it surpassed cumulative sales of 400 million units in Aug. last year.
Pulmuone Danone Activia, selected in the fermented milk institutional sector, was chosen for the Korea First Brand Awards for seven consecutive years. Activia is a fermented milk brand that contains the key probiotic "Bifidus Actiregularis," which is active at 36.5°C, the same as body temperature. It contains probiotics known to help with gut health and smooth bowel movements.
A Pulmuone Danone official said, "It is meaningful to once again be recognized for Pulmuone Danone's expertise in fermented milk with the first-year award in the Greek yogurt institutional sector and Activia's seven-year streak in the fermented milk institutional sector," adding, "We will continue to lead the domestic fermented milk market through product innovation that reflects consumer needs and highly trusted brand activities."
