The Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker will release the limited "Johnnie Walker Blue Year of the Horse Edition" to mark the end of 2026.
According to Diageo Korea on the 6th, the Johnnie Walker Blue Zodiac Edition each year features a special design that combines the year's symbolic animal with artistic inspiration. This year's "Johnnie Walker Blue Year of the Horse Edition" was created in collaboration with world-renowned fashion designer Robert Wun, a Hong Kong native based in London.
The design of this limited edition takes its motif from the horse in the zodiac, symbolizing challenge and forward momentum, to express optimistic energy. Designer Robert Wun captured a powerfully galloping horse on the bottle design to visualize Johnnie Walker's brand philosophy of "Keep Walking." Through storytelling about pushing past limits with optimistic energy, it expresses relentless challenge and an enterprising spirit.
The Johnnie Walker Blue Year of the Horse Edition enhances rarity and collectible value with a special blend made from rare liquids. It uses liquid from a "Ghost Distillery," which is no longer in operation, and from top-tier casks selected at a ratio of one out of every 10,000 casks in Johnnie Walker's warehouses. Citrus and dried fruit aromas are layered with rich spice notes and deep, sweet flavors of rose petals, vanilla, dark chocolate, and hazelnut. It finishes with Johnnie Walker's signature luxurious, smoky aftertaste.
To mark the launch of the Johnnie Walker Blue Year of the Horse Edition, a pop-up store will be held for the first time in the Zodiac Edition series at The Crown in Lotte Department Store Avenuel Jamsil from the 9th to the 22nd. The pop-up will offer a customization service for the Year of the Horse edition, a Johnnie Walker product scenting zone, and stories about the collaboration between Johnnie Walker and Robert Wun.
Purchases of the Johnnie Walker Year of the Horse Edition at the pop-up store will come with gifts such as a stamp, an acrylic frame, gold number stickers, and a Glencairn glass.
