Hotel Shilla President Lee Boo-jin and her son, Im Dong-hyeon, were spotted on the broadcast spending affectionate time together at a National Basketball Association (NBA) arena. Im recently was finally accepted through the 2026 academic year early admission process at Seoul National University.
Lee and Im watched the basketball game between the Golden State Warriors and the Utah Jazz at Chase Center in San Francisco on the 3rd (local time). The two sat side by side in the front row of the stands and enjoyed the game, and they were captured several times by the broadcast cameras.
That day, Lee held a Galaxy Fold smartphone in her hand and repeatedly filmed the action. She was briefly shown clapping for the players' plays or applying lipstick. Wearing glasses and a gray sweatshirt, Im focused on the game while watching the court. The two created a friendly mood as they talked with their shoulders touching and enjoyed the game.
Lee's seat that day is presumed to have been a courtside front-row spot adjacent to the players' bench, and the seat price was reported to be about $12,000 (about 17.35 million won).
Lee and Im were also once captured on the broadcast while watching an NBA game in person in the past. In January last year, the two watched the 2023-24 NBA regular-season game between the LA Clippers and the Miami Heat from the front row near the basket at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Meanwhile, Im was recently finally accepted through the 2026 academic year early admission process at Seoul National University. Im, who graduated from Hwi Moon Middle School and Hwi Moon High School in Gangnam District, Seoul, is known to have missed only one question on the College Scholastic Ability Test. If Im enrolls this year as Seoul National University class of '26, he will be a junior to his uncle, Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong.
