On Jan. 2, Chairman Kim Nam-jung of Dongwon Group said in a New Year's address, "Let's expand our global business and raise productivity by using artificial intelligence (AI)."
Kim said, "Let's pick up the pace in our global business," adding, "Let's strengthen collaboration with overseas affiliates to closely sense the market, and when we see an opportunity, execute boldly." He added, "The company will also transform the organization into a global structure by expanding personnel exchanges among domestic and overseas affiliates and securing global talent."
Kim said, "Please raise execution so that the business upgrades and facility investments pursued by each affiliate last year can take hold early and lead to results," and added, "Let's keep all options open, including building strategic partnerships with competitive corporations and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) that can create synergy, to achieve qualitative growth."
Kim also said, "Please work to strengthen job expertise and AI capabilities," adding, "Leave simple tasks to AI and focus on creative and challenging work." He added, "Since its founding, Dongwon has consistently answered the needs of the times and society. Let's find what customers and society need this year and present Dongwon's own answer."
