Kim Jung-soo, vice chairman of Samyang Round Square, said in a New Year's address, "Global is not a choice but the reason for Samyang's existence. Let's grow as one team."
Vice Chairman Kim said in an internal notice on Jan. 2, "The key word for 2026 this year is fundamentals (根本)," and stated accordingly.
Kim said, "Fundamentals do not mean slowing growth, but Samyang's own standards, philosophy, and way of judgment that must become clearer as expansion grows," adding, "The faster we go, the more we need standards to handle it."
He went on to say, "What Samyang Round Square means by fundamentals is strategic judgment based on data and digital, and the consistent application of that judgment across products, quality, and brand."
He added, "Samyang will continue to grow," and said, "However, what we must uphold is not speed but the standards of growth, not size but the method of expansion, and not short-term results but Samyang-like judgment and execution. Fundamentals are not what hold us back but the force that drives us farther, and I ask you to build Samyang's fundamentals together from your respective positions."
