Department stores are launching their first regular sales of the new byeongo year (丙午年).
Lotte Department Store said on the 1st it will hold a New Year regular sale from the 2nd to the 18th. More than 410 brands will participate, offering discounts of up to 50%. Major fashion brands will discount winter season-off items such as padded coats.
Also from the 2nd to the 11th, it will run a promotion offering a Lotte Mobile Gift Certificate worth 7% of the purchase amount across all categories, including luxury goods. The department store has prepared first-come, first-served discount coupons via its application (app) and a drawing event for shopping subsidies.
Shinsegae Department Store will hold a large-scale sale event, "Shinsegae Festa," at 13 stores nationwide from the 2nd to the 11th. More than 300 brands across fashion, accessories, and living will participate. It will also offer items discounted up to 70% in street fashion, children's, and sports categories.
Customers who pay 600,000 won or more with a Shinsegae affiliated card will receive benefits such as a 30,000 won reward coupon. Those who purchase 200,000 won or more from participating special-price brands will receive a 20,000 won coupon. Luxury and fashion stores will also run a reward promotion of up to 7%.
Hyundai Department Store will hold its New Year season discount event, "The Sale," from the 2nd to the 18th. It will offer up to 50% off the initial sale price on fall/winter (FW) season items from more than 300 brands across fashion, living, and sports.
By store, the Trade Center branch will host the "Traditional Fashion Grand Sale" from the 2nd to the 4th, selling 2025 fall/winter (F/W) items from popular fashion brands at up to 30% off, while the Pangyo branch will hold a discount event for the children's fashion brand "I Love J" at the B1 special event hall during the same period.
The Hyundai Seoul will open a "Wizardmall" pop-up store from the 2nd to the 17th, selling merchandise from famous films such as Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, The Lord of the Rings, and The Little Prince.
