KYOCHON F&B's chicken franchise Kyochon Chicken said on the 26th that it is expanding the familiar "chimaek" (chicken + beer) formula and unveiling a "year-end home party pairing guide" for year-end home parties.
Kyochon added the craft beer brand "Moonbear" and the premium makgeolli "Fermentation Workshop 1991" lineup to its signature chicken menu, proposing a way to enjoy high-quality pairing cuisine at home this winter.
For family gatherings or home parties, Kyochon recommended the combination of the steady seller "Soy Sauce Whole Chicken" and "Moonbear Windy Hill Lager." Kyochon said the lager's clean profile balances the soy sauce–based flavor.
For consumers who enjoy spicy flavors, it recommended the combination of "Mala Red," whose heat is rounded by makgeolli, and "Eunhasu 8-do makgeolli."
For consumers who prefer sweet flavors, it recommended pairing "Honey Garlic" with "Moonbear Moondance Golden Ale." Kyochon said adding Moonbear Moondance Golden Ale, which has tropical fruit aromas, to Honey Garlic creates a harmonious taste.
Kyochon Chicken is also running a discount promotion along with the pairing suggestions. Through the 31st, orders of the "One Whole Chicken" menu placed via the Kyochon Chicken dedicated app come with a 3,000 won discount.
A KYOCHON F&B official said, "We hope customers will enjoy a richer culinary experience by going beyond simply eating chicken and pairing it with alcoholic beverages that can maximize each menu's flavors," adding, "for this year-end, we recommend enjoying a simple yet special home party at home with the pairing formulas proposed by Kyochon."
