Hyundai Department Store said on the 25th that the Hyundai Museum of Kids' Books & Art is recruiting participating artists for the 5th "UN-PRINTED IDEAS" exhibition.
The Un-Printed Ideas exhibition is a picture book author support project conducted by Hyundai Department Store and the Hyundai Museum of Kids' Books & Art as part of their cultural and arts support program, introducing to the public picture book works that have not yet been published but carry original ideas and messages.
Participants in this exhibition must submit ideas that include two of eight themes (friendship, indifference, hate, reconciliation, nature, artificial intelligence, nonfiction, metafiction). Applications are open until Apr. 28 next year.
The Hyundai Museum of Kids' Books & Art plans to select the final participating artists after a first-round document review of the submitted ideas and a second-round expert presentation review. The final selectees will prepare their works and then take part in the Un-Printed Ideas exhibition held for about four months from Nov. next year at the Hyundai Museum of Kids' Books & Art in Hyundai Department Store's Pangyo branch.
An official at the Hyundai Museum of Kids' Books & Art said, "It will be a valuable opportunity to introduce the works of emerging artists with original ideas to the world," adding, "We plan to continue to support emerging artists in various ways so they can fully demonstrate their artistic capabilities."
