Nongshim said on the 25th that it delivered 4,500 boxes of "Love Shin Ramyun" to underserved neighbors near its headquarters and six factories nationwide to mark the year-end.
Love Shin Ramyun is a community contribution campaign that Nongshim carries out every year-end to share warmth with the local community. It began in 2008 and has continued for 18 years as of this year. The ramen that Nongshim has delivered to the local community so far amounts to about 75,000 boxes.
In particular, Love Shin Ramyun is funded through a "Happy Fund," voluntarily created by employees donating a portion of their salaries, with the company adding the same amount under a matching grant system.
A Nongshim official said, "We practice sharing with the local community every year in the hope that our neighbors can warm their bodies and hearts with hot Shin Ramyun during the cold winter," adding, "We will continue sharing activities and fulfill corporations' social responsibility."
