Chicken franchise Genesis BBQ Group is expanding its brand influence in key markets around the world, including the United States, Latin America, Europe and Southeast Asia.
According to BBQ on the 24th, BBQ is currently operating stores in a total of 57 countries, including the United States, Canada, Panama, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, Germany, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Japan and Fiji. Among them, there are more than 450 in the Americas alone, and more than 100 in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia.
BBQ aired a three-month BBQ brand advertisement on the electronic billboard at One Times Square, located in the very center of Times Square in New York, a global landmark. BBQ also recently ranked third on the Most Loved Brands list selected by Yelp, a global all-in-one review platform used by more than 1.2 billion people annually.
Recently, together with the global corporations BLT F&B group, it held a launch ceremony for entry into Europe and established a Europe headquarter in Spain in a joint venture format. BBQ said it plans to fully expand its European business based on BLT F&B group's global operating experience and market capabilities.
BBQ said entering the European market goes beyond simply expanding stores and is a market with symbolic significance that must be validated to complete the globalization of "K-food." It plans to open flagship stores in major European countries such as Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Poland and the Netherlands, and then expand sequentially to neighboring countries.
Chairman Yoon Hong-geun said, "As a native Korean brand, BBQ is taking the lead in spreading K-food so that everyone around the world can enjoy K-chicken with the taste of Korea," and added, "We will further accelerate globalization so that people in countries we have not yet entered can also taste K-food."
