Genesis BBQ Group, the operator of the BBQ chicken franchise, said on the 24th that it introduced its first drive-thru store in the United States.
According to Genesis BBQ Group, the store that introduced the drive-thru service this time is the Franklin location in New Jersey. The Franklin area is known as a suburban commercial district with a strong consumer pattern centered on car travel.
The Franklin location is about 40 pyeong in size and offers both dine-in and drive-thru. It also serves K-chicken items such as Golden Fried Chicken and Secret Sauce Chicken, along with K-food like tteokbokki, kimchi fried rice, and fried dumplings.
A BBQ official said, "Since the United States is a market where drive-thru consumption is commonplace, we will expand a new business model centered on regions we have not yet entered," adding, "We plan to broaden our locally tailored business model and further spread K-food worldwide through BBQ."
