Lotte Members said on the 23rd that it launched the Lotte Tourist Membership with Lotte Department Store to expand its foreign membership.
The Lotte Tourist Membership was jointly planned by Lotte Members and Lotte Department Store based on analysis of spending data from foreign tourists. The plan is to extend the benefits of the Lotte Group integrated membership L.POINT to foreign tourists to deliver a differentiated shopping experience at Lotte and, further, to secure global customer data.
The Lotte Tourist Membership card can be easily issued at the Lotte Department Store main branch through passport information and email verification. It features an integrated offering of customized benefits needed for a travel itinerary, such as shopping and transportation. Points can be earned and used at 150,000 L.POINT affiliates nationwide, and coupons linked to various Lotte affiliates, including Lotte Department Store, Lotte Duty Free, Lotte Mart, and 7-Eleven, are provided. It also has a transportation card function to support convenient travel.
The membership card was designed as a piece of travel merchandise that captures special experiences in Korea, enhancing its collectability. It reinterprets the luster of traditional Korean mother-of-pearl patterns with a modern holographic material and depicts symbols of Korea such as Gyeongbokgung, Lotte World Tower, and traditional motifs like Sipjangsaeng. Through this, it expresses the aesthetic identity of Korea, where tradition and modernity coexist.
Yu Du-ho, head of integrated marketing at Lotte Members, said, "As the number of foreign tourists visiting Korea has recently increased, we introduced a membership service targeting them," and added, "It will help deliver Lotte's value to customers overseas as well as at home and secure loyal customers."
