Food service franchise BonIF's coffee brand "Easy Brewing Coffee" said on the 22nd that it opened its first franchise store, "Dongtan Mokdong," on the 19th. With this, Easy Brewing Coffee plans to move beyond a model centered on company-owned stores and ramp up its franchise business.
Easy Brewing Coffee applies the automated extraction system "Easy Barista" to serve brewed coffee that reliably brings out the beans' original aroma and flavor. It also offers fresh shokupan baked in-store daily and handmade fruit butter jam, allowing customers to enjoy coffee and bakery together.
In addition to basic shokupan, it offers a variety of fresh bread menus with toppings, including ▲ chestnut sticky rice cake ▲ olive cheese ▲ basil tomato. Easy Brewing Coffee said it plans to continue adding new menu items.
According to Easy Brewing Coffee, fresh bread accounts for more than 30% of total sales. In particular, as the product lineup expanded, total monthly sales as of Oct. increased by about 55% or more compared with May. With the introduction of delivery service, orders for sets that include both coffee and fresh bread are steadily rising.
To commemorate the opening of the Dongtan Mokdong store, the company is also running customer events. On the first day of opening, it gave a jam spreader from the French cutlery brand SABRE to customers who spent 20,000 won or more, on a first-come, first-served basis. In line with the year-end season, it is also offering free gift wrapping.
Kim Man-gi, head of coffee business at BonIF, said, "Easy Brewing Coffee has built stable quality and a diversified revenue structure with an operating model that combines an automated brewing system and bakery," and added, "It will establish itself as a competitive café startup model for prospective founders while raising brand satisfaction with taste and service that meet customers' high standards."
