The annual cumulative transaction amount of Musinsa's SPA (manufacturing and retail integrated apparel) brand Musinsa Standard is expected to reach 470 billion won this year, up 40% from a year earlier. The goal for next year is to hit 1 trillion won.
Musinsa said on the 18th that Musinsa Standard recorded a cumulative transaction amount of 400 billion won from January to November this year. The figure combines transaction amounts from the Musinsa online store and offline stores, and at the current pace, it was expected to reach 470 billion won within the year.
A Musinsa official said, "While continuing steep growth in the domestic market, we will also accelerate our global push with a goal of achieving an annual transaction amount of 1 trillion won next year," and added, "Following the opening of our first overseas store in Shanghai, China, on the 14th, we will expand the number of stores to 10 next year."
In particular, this year's offline transaction amount jumped about 86% from a year earlier, driving overall results for Musinsa Standard. As of the day, Musinsa Standard has 33 domestic stores, and annual cumulative visitors surpassed 28 million, more than double last year's 12.5 million.
Beyond apparel, portfolio diversification into beauty and home, hit products, and steady sellers also supported results. Musinsa Standard's cumulative product sales this year are on track to reach 13 million units. The cumulative number of online and offline product reviews also topped 1.3 million.
By product category, slacks recorded the highest sales volume. Slacks sold 1.01 million pairs this year. Of these, the City Leisure Collection sold 520,000 pairs. Bermuda shorts, a popular summer-season item, sold 200,000 pairs, and light down (lightweight padded jackets) sold 150,000.
By single item, slacks and T-shirts sold well. Representative items include the semi-wide hidden-banding slacks (120,000 pairs) and the wide hidden-banding slacks (110,000 pairs). For women's products, the Women's Basic Crew Neck T-shirt (90,000) and the Women's Parachute Pants (55,000) ranked high in sales.
