SSG.com said on the 17th that it will expand the logistics hubs for its "Baro-Quick" service to 60 locations and step up a free delivery promotion for a week from the 18th to the 24th. Baro-Quick is a service that delivers Emart store items such as food and household goods within about an hour to the destination by a delivery agency's motorcycle within a 3-kilometer radius centered on each store.
During the event, two free Baro-Quick delivery coupons will be given per account (ID), and they can be used for payments of 30,000 won or more.
SSG.com launched its quick commerce service at 19 Emart stores in September and has gradually expanded the number of operating stores, offering instant delivery at 60 locations nationwide as of December.
Emart stores currently operating the Baro-Quick service include 16 in the Seoul area, 19 in the Gyeonggi area, 1 in Gangwon, 5 in Chungcheong, 8 in Jeolla, and 11 in Gyeongsang. SSG.com, in collaboration with Emart, also expanded the number of items available through Baro-Quick to about 11,000, up roughly 80% from September.
An SSG.com official said, "Ahead of the year-end, we prepared a free delivery benefit so customers can use Baro-Quick without burden," adding, "Next year, we plan to expand Baro-Quick operating hubs to 90 locations so that more customers can use it conveniently."
